About D&T Otteson Turquoise
David Otteson and, daughter, Tiffany Crowther (Otteson) have worked with and in the turquoise industry for over 25 years. David owns, or partially owns, many mines including Royston Mine, White Buffalo, Broken Arrow (Variscite), Broken Bow (Variscite), Easter Blue and Candelaria Hills Big Nugget. The mines David owns are near or around Tonopah, NV.
David is the only supplier of turquoise for this site. He has sold high quality, family mined turquoise to thousands of individuals, businesses, and jewelry makers over the 25 plus years of being in business. David does all his own cutting, sanding, and polishing of the turquoise D&T Otteson Turquoise provides, so quality and craftsmanship are of the highest standard. D&T Otteson Turquoise stands by its products 100% and will work with any customer to provide complete and total satisfaction.
Turquoise is found in only a few places on earth: dry and barren regions where acidic, copper-rich groundwater seeps downward and reacts with minerals that contain phosphorus and aluminum. The result of this sedimentary process is a porous, semitranslucent to an opaque compound of hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate.
