About D&T Otteson Turquoise

David Otteson and daughter, Tiffany Crowther (Otteson) have worked together in the turquoise industry for over 25 years. David has been mining, cutting, and selling turquoise for nearly all of his life. He owns, or our family owns, many mines located near Tonopah, NV, including Royston, White Buffalo, Broken Arrow (Variscite), Tree Frog (Variscite), Easter Blue, and Candelaria Hills Big Nugget.

Tiffany Crowther (Otteson) grew up surrounded by turquoise and over the time has grown a deep understanding of everything the industry has to offer. Using her extensive knowledge, she manages and operates the business side of the company. This includes this website, dtottesonturquoise1 Instagram, the inventory related to both, in person shows and more!

About Turquoise

Turquoise is found in only a few places on earth: dry and barren regions where acidic, copper-rich groundwater seeps downward and reacts with minerals that contain phosphorus and aluminum. The result of this sedimentary process is a porous, semitranslucent to an opaque compound of hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate.
